19th Annual La Honda Fair • June 11 & 12th • 2011
About The La Honda Fair

An All-Volunteer Effort!

The La Honda Fair is a local music, arts & crafts event that is a benefit for the La Honda Elementary School's art and music programs. The Fair has been around for some time, and this is our 18th year. We have two days of bands and performers from 11am to 7pm, featuring mostly local artists with lots of original music, with all donating their talent and time. We have excellent sound support once again, courtesy of Bo Putnam. Jeff Ring and Paula Dennis are coordinating the bands, vendors, T-shirts and posters, and Bill Underwood created the website. Many other volunteers will be there selling raffle tickets, helping with grounds maintenance, posters, flyers and all the many little things it takes to make the Fair a success.

Want to help us out? Call Paula at 747-0351 or email her at LaHondaFairMaiden@hotmail.com.

The Weather

We are nestled among the towering redwoods in La Honda canyon just a few miles from the Pacific Ocean. As such, it can be quite warm during the day, but still cooler than "over the hill" in Silicon Valley. So once the Sun goes down, better get out that sweater or light jacket you brought along, just in case!

Did You Know?

Years ago, the Fair got its humble beginnings when some locals started to put on "La Honda Days" with a little parade through town. The very first band to play the Fair was actually riding on the back of an old Chevy flatbed truck, complete with a drum set, playing homespun music through a sound system rolling through town at 5MPH.
